The pet food recalls continue. The best "wholistic" suggestion to prevent danger to your pet is - STOP feeding dry kibble food. In our "wholistic" opinion, dry kibble food is the least nutritious form of food to feed a carnivore. Furthermore, a majority of all pet food recalls is with dry food. Perfectly Healthy Until…Symptoms Show Up or Blow Up

This month's article was inspired by our dentist who had 34 emergency cases the last two weeks of 2017. While some of these cases were acute emergencies, most were from patients who were told earlier to take precautions when symptoms showed up or warned of impending consequences and just did not take action until symptoms blew up. Here is our "wholistic" perspective.

In gathering initial data from a new client we often hear, "I (or my pet) was perfectly healthy until I was diagnosed with XXXX." Upon further questioning, we find out they (or their pet) had one or more of the following minor symptoms but they never took holistic action:

1. Seasonal allergies

2. Increased thirst

3. Strange “lump”

4. High cholesterol

5. Frequent urination

6. Pre-diabetic symptoms

7. Change in diet or tastes

8. Very dry, dull and coarse fur

9. Unexplained weight loss/gain

10. Occasional nausea or vomiting

11. Lack of energy, slowing down or lethargy

12. Change in bowel movements (constipation or diarrhea)

13. Taking thyroid/adrenal drugs but the symptoms are under control

14. Or a host of other minor complaints (symptoms)—itching, slight cough, dry hacking

If you or your pet has any of the above symptoms (even occasionally), we would not consider you "perfectly healthy." Degenerative conditions do not begin overnight. They usually begin with a nutritional deficiency, practicing a 'less than healthy habit," continuing to abuse the body (with chemical preservatives, consuming GMO ingredients, exposure to industrial chemicals, smoking, drinking diet soda, etc.), triggering of a genetic factor and/or simply not acknowledging minor symptoms of imbalance. If the behavior or trigger continues, so does degeneration until symptoms show up or blow up. Here are some examples showing the absence of major symptoms does not mean a body is perfectly healthy.

A client was giving their dog our advanced bio-algae concentrates product, BioPreparation-f3+. They hoped to balance the glands and organs, so their pet's body would stop producing lipomas (fatty tumors). As the dog got better, they switched to the general nutrition formula, BioPreparation-f2+. When they ran out, they did not refill the supply. This dog had a previous history of lipomas and had a non-cancerous one surgically removed within the past year. Within one month of running out of BioPreparation, a new growth appeared in the dog's arm pit but this time it grew rapidly. Within a few weeks, they took the dog to the vet who diagnosed a mast cell cancer tumor. Because the dog was 13 years old and the tumor was entangled in the joint, they he opted not to do chemotherapy or radiation treatment. They called us for an emergency shipment of BioPreparation-f3+.

We are not vets and we certainly are not judging our customer but here is our "wholistic" perspective. Whenever lipomas appear it means the body is not processing waste material properly. It could be for a number of reasons, such as eating an inappropriate diet for a carnivore (dry kibble), getting too much processed foods with chemicals or preservatives, eating GMO ingredients (wheat, corn, soy) having a malfunctioning liver or kidneys, having Dr. Plechner's Endocrine-Immune System imbalance, and many other reasons. So, the body encapsulates the undesired waste material and hides it under the skin. Sort of like sweeping the dirt under the rug when you do not know how to dispose of it. That lump (lipoma) is the dirt under the skin. Surgically removing the lipoma takes care of the immediate symptom but does nothing to address the original cause of the problem. Western medical consensus tells us if the lipomas (fatty tumors) are not hindering or bothering anything, then do not disturb them. Well, that is like ignoring the smoke alarm by taking the batteries out because the loud noise bothers you. The lipomas or fatty tumors are a red flag that the body is not in balance and eliminating waste properly. We feel it is not holistically wise to ignore lipomas. One month free of symptoms does not mean the body is perfectly healthy, especially if that body has a history of producing lumps over many years. Even with our whole superfood products, the body needs at least 4-6 months to regenerate new cells and rebuild gland and organ function back to normal. If one does nothing or stops feeding this super nutrition, it is only a matter of time before this inefficiency catches up to produce something more serious, as in this cancer story. An absence of symptoms does not mean the body is perfectly healthy and ALL the glands and organs are operating normally, if there is an underlying degenerative condition. These same holistic principals apply to people with lipomas (use BioSuperfood for people). Here is another example.

Holistic vet's tell us by the time a cat is clinically diagnosed with chronic renal failure (CRF) or chronic kidney disease (CKD), degeneration of 50-70% of the kidneys has already occurred. Some of the signs of CRF are:

1. Increased thirst

2. Frequent urination

3. Unexplained weight loss/gain

4. Very dry, dull and coarse fur

5. Lack of energy, slowing down or lethargy

If one waits until a majority of the above symptoms accumulate, then 50-75% of kidney degeneration might already have occurred. If one takes their (senior) cat for a blood test as soon as any 1-2 of the above signs appear, then one may catch the degeneration early enough to take holistic measures. One can holistically eliminate any dry kibble (the most nutrient deficient form of food to feed a carnivore), start our whole food product, BioPreparation-f3+ and supply more fresh water. This might avoid having to give subcutaneous fluids, CRF prescription food and other kidney medications immediately, thus saving money. A pet may stay at 25-50% kidney degeneration for many years before requiring the above veterinary treatment. It is never too late to start. One of our cats was not transitioned fully off dry kibble until about 14-15 years old. We got her on a raw food diet and added our BioPreparation product. Even though she eventually developed Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) and severe arthritis, she lived to be about 22 years old and passed naturally at home.

We estimate we could have saved $10,000 by taking more aggressive holistic action with our cat, Iris, who originally had minor digestive symptoms and eventually got advanced intestinal lymphoma or IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), pancreatitis, triaditis and died of congestive heart failure.

A body with any symptoms whatsoever, is not "perfectly healthy" in our "wholistic" opinion. Please listen to your and/or your pet's body and take holistic action before symptoms show up or blow up. Rather than say, my (or my pet's) body is perfectly healthy with the exception of a few minor symptoms, why not take action now by adding one of our whole superfood products (NOT isolated supplements that just treat the symptoms) to the diet. Be holistically proactive, not medically reactive. Start the New Year right.
