Pet Food RecallsThe pet food recalls continue. The best "wholistic" suggestion to prevent danger to your pet is — STOP feeding dry kibble dog food. In our "wholistic" opinion, dry kibble dog food is the least nutritious form of food to feed a carnivore. Furthermore, a majority of all pet food recalls is with dry food. Canned food, freeze-dried food and raw food have a much lower percentage of recalls. For the latest recalls, go to: Dog Food Recalls or FDA website To read more on our "wholistic" philosophy on pet food, go to the following links:

********************************************************************************* Holistic GuaranteeMany prospects ask us if we guarantee our "wholistic" whole superfood products (BioSuperfood, BioPreparation, ALPHA-G, Seacure) will cure their symptom. This is obviously coming from a Western medical paradigm, where the product is doing the “healing.” In some instances, drugs do address or “cure” their symptoms within 1-2 weeks. In other instances, the symptoms are apparently eliminated only to have the cause of the symptom or imbalance in the body’s gland or organ, go deeper into the body. Then the symptom returns when the body’s immune system becomes depressed, such as in the winter, during seasonal allergies or a hidden infection compromises the immune system. So why do prospects expect a guarantee from Optimum Choices when not even a medical doctor can guarantee the first round of antibiotics will cure the symptom? Believe it or not, the general public’s mass-media concept of “holistic” products is still based on the allopathic Western medical model of treating the symptom with a substance to cause an effect in the body. Natural product manufacturers advertise Product A for arthritis, Product D for digestion and Product E for the eyes, etc. They contain high doses of active ingredients to specifically eliminate the symptoms based on studies. Their research studies show XX milligrams will produce no results, XXX milligrams will provide some benefits and XXXX milligrams will provide relief. While short-term relief is good (and needed for debilitating symptoms), one must also look at the disadvantages of just treating the symptoms and not addressing the real cause of the symptom and imbalance in the body. See disadvantages in red text in our table below.
Want empirical proof? Scientists discovered the beneficial nutrient in citrus fruits that prevents scurvy is Vitamin C. What is not commonly known is by taking isolated Vitamin C in the form of an ascorbic acid supplement one only gets rid of the symptoms of scurvy. When the ascorbic acid supplement is discontinued the symptoms and disease returns. However, if one gets Vitamin C made from an extract of whole green peppers not only do the symptoms disappear but the scurvy is gone when discontinued. Vitamin C in the form of a whole food product contains rutin, bioflavonoids, Vitamin E, selenium and zinc that Nature dictated is needed for Vitamin C to work optimally in our body. All these complementary nutrients are present in whole food sources of Vitamin C (for example, green peppers, oranges, rose hips, acerola cherries, algae). By eating only an isolated supplement with just ascorbic acid or by juicing an orange and throwing away the pulp and peel, one is missing all the above necessary nutrients. The question now becomes, Do you want just the absence of symptoms for you and your pet or do you want “wholistic” wellness? Here is another important benefit of using whole food products. The more expensive Vitamin C supplements are buffered to prevent nausea for those with a sensitive stomach (cannot tolerate ascorbic acid). Nature included the buffer ingredients needed in the pulp and skin of whole food sources of Vitamin C (the white pulpy part of the orange). So, who is smarter—the scientist that discovered we need to put back the buffer ingredients in isolated Vitamin C supplements or Nature? New research shows that 90% of the antioxidant power of whole foods is contained in the pulp and peel. Do you want ALL the benefits Nature put in whole foods for you and your pet or do you want to just treat the symptoms? We can promise that if you follow our gradual starting suggestions, work up to an advanced daily level (per body weight) and take our whole superfood products long enough for your health condition, that you or your pet will experience some health benefits. Since we do not know your (or your pet's) genetics, health history, diet, lifestyle, how many capsule per day you take/give or how diligent you are at taking/giving them everyday, we cannot make any guarantees regarding your symptoms. We will do our best in sharing our 90+ years of wholistic wisdom so you (or your pet) can get maximum results. The choice is yours: Do you want a guarantee that your symptoms will be gone quickly or do you want to nutritionally balance the whole body to achieve wellness and approach Freedom From Illness without side effects and all the other disadvantages mentioned in the above table?
