danger to your pet is - STOP feeding dry kibble food. In our
"wholistic" opinion, dry kibble food is the least nutritious form of
food to feed a carnivore. Furthermore, a majority of all pet food recalls is

We get asked
this question all the time, especially by new clients. While for
drugs and isolated supplements this may
 be
a simple answer, for truly "wholistic" whole food products (such as
our BioPreparation,
BioSuperfood
and ALPHA-G), this is not a
quick answer. We offer these experiences as illustration for
possible answers, although these are certainly not the only ones. It
all depends on the individual's health history, what else they are
doing, current circumstances and symptoms.
Not
eating with fatal
lymphoma diagnosis: our 9 year old cat stopped eating for
one week and was dying. She was
 subsequently
diagnosed with advanced intestinal lymphoma or severe
IBD;
only a biopsy would be able to determine an official diagnosis.
Since we were not going to do chemotherapy or radiation treatment,
we declined the biopsy. But we needed to get our cat to eat,
otherwise she had less than one month to live. Normally for a 10
pound cat, 1-2 capsules/day would be considered an advanced amount
for severe symptoms per body weight. We ended up needing to give 3 total
capsules per day, in six ½-capsule servings, before she resumed
eating. We learned that for extremely fatal symptoms, sometimes more
than the suggested guidelines per body weight are needed to
nutritionally support the body back into balance.
Multiple
suspected IMHA/AIHA
triggers: a client's 13 pound dog was down to 10 pounds because
he had stopped eating for three weeks and was dying from an
auto-immune anemia condition (IMHA).
The dog recently had a Bordetella
vaccine and
topical flea & tick treatment (drops down the back). His
red blood cell count was down to 12% (normal is 45-55%) and required a
blood transfusion to stay alive. The client started our advanced
bio-algae concentrates
product,
BioPreparation-f3+, slowly at one
capsule per day (½ mornings + ½ evenings) and then increased to two
capsules per day. The small dog developed loose stools, a possible
excessive detoxing symptom. Fortunately, the body adjusted quickly
and the loose stools did not last very long (first week). Although
the red blood cell count was slowly
 improving,
it was not increasing fast enough back into the normal range, so the
client increased to 3 capsules/day. After three months the red blood
cell count was 43%, almost in the normal range. After five months
the vet cut out the Mycophenolate and decreased the Prednisone down
to ½-tablet every other day. At this point, the red blood cell count
started to drop and went down to 32%. The vet increased the
Prednisone and the pet parent increased the BioPreparation-f3+ to 4
capsules/day. Seven months after the IMHA diagnosis, when the dog's
red blood cell count was still not in the normal range and
medications were still needed, the pet's parent increased to 5
capsules/day. That is a very generous amount for a small dog under
15 pounds but obviously it was needed. This daily amount is more
than double what an average 15-20 pound pet usually needs but
there were absolutely no excessive detoxing symptoms at 5
capsules/day. At the current time, the dog's pet parent has
increased to 6 capsules/day in the hopes of regenerating enough new
cells and rebuilding the gland and organ functions, so the body can
stand on its own without the need for medications. Why was more than double the average suggested
guidelines per body weight needed 9 months after the IMHA diagnosis?
After
helping close to 1300 IMHA/AIHA clients in the last 16 years, we
have seen those pets with more than one
 suspected
anemia trigger (vaccination,
heartworm medication, flea & tick treatment and/or strong
drug [like an antibiotic]) have worse symptoms, take longer to
recover and a greater fatality ratio. Usually, a small dog under 20
pounds only needs 3-4 capsules/day, at most, for severe degenerative
symptoms. Given all the above conditions, 5-6 capsules/day was
obviously needed to balance this body.
Here are the
"wholistic" lessons these and many more experiences have taught us:
-
Since BioPreparation is NOT a drug or
isolated supplement that has side effects, there is no danger
and zero toxicity in giving more than these suggested
guidelines, if needed for a critically ill body.

One must observe every slight change
and listen to all the individual's body response. Any little
change may give an indication of what is tolerable and needed by
 the
body to produce the desired benefits.

If excessive detoxing symptoms do
occur, there is not harm done and most (but not all) bodies
usually adjust in less than 1-2 weeks.
-
A body with multiple triggers may need
2-3 times the suggested guidelines per body weight.
-
When giving more than the suggested
guidelines, it is better to spread out the total daily allotment
in small frequent servings. For example, if one needs to give
five total capsules/day to a small pet, then we suggest ten
½-capsule servings mixed into any wet food. The smaller amount
lessens the chance for any excessive
detoxing symptoms. The frequent servings keep a constant supply
of this super nutrition in the bloodstream, so the glands and
organs do not experience the highs/lows of only feeding 2-3
times per day. The same principle is used by diabetics when they
spread their total daily insulin needs over 3-4 measured amounts
rather than just 1-2.

If a body has prior digestive
imbalances, they will probably need more than the suggested
guidelines per body weight. This is because the body already has
shown digestive inefficiencies, which means it is only absorbing and utilizing an estimated
25-90% of whatever is
ingested, from food, to supplements and even drugs.
If
excessive
detoxing symptoms (such as loose stools, diarrhea, excessive thirst,
rash, lethargy, etc.) do occur, there is no harm done, like with
drugs or isolated supplements. They usually occur within the first
1-2 weeks of introduction or after an incremental increase in amount and only last a few days. After that, the
average body usually adjusts and accepts the BioPreparation readily.
Another
possibility is the improved digestive abilities of a body coming
back into balance after receiving this super
 nutrition.
BioPreparation slowly improves the efficiency of ALL the glands and
organs of the WHOLE body, including the digestive tract. This means
anything ingested has a greater effect on the body, including drugs.
So if loose stools or diarrhea are side effects of any medications,
this could be exacerbated because the same dosage of drugs is having
a greater effect, with the greater digestive efficiencies. This is a
good thing because the client can now ask the vet if the medications
can be reduced.
So, to answer the question of how much is too much, one needs to
look at the individual's (both in people and pets)
age, weight, circumstances of the health challenge, severity of
symptoms, health history, immediate response of the body and a host
of other "wholistic" observations. One cannot just look at a drug's
or isolated supplement's table or research study for a quick answer.
