Isis is a domestic longhair cat, 9 years old
and weighs about 9 pounds. Her diet consists of premium canned wet food and

The pet food recalls continue. The FDA has expanded its investigation of the
elevated levels of Vitamin D in dry dog foods, which can be toxic and cause
serious health problems. Currently, there are eight brands and twelve
different diets that have been recalled. The FDA found an alarming 70 times
the intended amount of vitamin D. To learn more about this recall, please

The best "wholistic" suggestion to prevent
danger to your pet is -- STOP feeding dry kibble dog food. In our
"wholistic" opinion, dry kibble dog food is the least nutritious form of
food to feed a carnivore. Furthermore, a majority of all pet food recalls is

The single biggest mistake people make with
our holistic
products
is, using the same rules for drugs and isolated supplements when
deciding how much to take or give their pet. Drugs and isolated
supplements (like a Vitamin C pill or fish oil capsule) have high doses
of active ingredients to just treat the symptoms and get results
quickly. On the other hand, our truly "wholistic," whole superfood
products (BioPreparation,
BioSuperfood, ALPHA-G and
Seacure) are like oranges and salmon, which have thousands of
nutrients in small food-grade quantities to nourish ALL the glands and
organs of the WHOLE body. Whole
food products are the only products that are nutritionally

This is the first in a series of articles to uncover the ramifications

No Side Effects, Zero Toxicity
Just like oranges and salmon, our whole

nutrients and include the proper ratio of complementary nutrients to
balance the WHOLE body. On the other hand, drugs and isolated supplement
have high doses of just active ingredients to produce results fast.
Because these high doses of nutrients are larger than Nature intended
our and our pet's bodies to consume, there may be side
effects and toxicity. For example, common side effects of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are, nausea or
vomiting, loose stools or diarrhea, headache and redness and warm
feeling of the skin, called flushing. Reported contraindications with
Vitamin C include:
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Birth control pills containing estradiol, ethinyl estradiol or
mestranol
Drugs used to treat an imbalance in iron levels
Whole food oranges, lemons, grapefruit,
green peppers, algae, etc. have none of the above.
Common side effects of Omega 3 oil (fish
oil) are, nausea or stomach upset, loose stools (may have a mild
laxative effect) and may slightly lower blood pressure. Possible
contraindications of Omega 3 oil:
Use precautions with blood-thinning (anticoagulant and
anti-platelet)
medications
Avoid taking before surgery
Whole food salmon, sardines, anchovies,
algae, etc. have none of the above.
We send gradual starting suggestions with
every first order, not because of any potential side effects or
toxicity, but because some sensitive, complex or chronically imbalanced
bodies can have excessive detoxing symptoms or unintended consequences
if started on too much, too fast. If your natural health practitioner
recommended you eat more oranges to get over a cold or flu faster and
you went out the first day and ate 20-30 oranges, I bet you would have
loose stools or diarrhea. Is this from an overdose of ascorbic acid
(oranges average 60-70 mg of ascorbic acid or 2,100 mg maximum from 30
oranges)? Bowel tolerance (point at which diarrhea happens) of ascorbic
acid is around 10,000 mg per day. No, this is an unintended consequence
from getting too much liquid and fiber (pulp) from fresh fruit, which
your body was not used to, not a side effect from too much ascorbic
acid. The same is true for our
bio-algae concentrates (BioPreparation and BioSuperfood),
ALPHA-G (rice) and Seacure (white fish) products.
Potential Ramifications
While for most clients the above
ramifications are minor, here are two scenarios that do make a
difference. We usually send the following nutritional holistic
suggestions with every first order:
"Based on our personal and our clients'
nutritional experience with the products, we suggest starting a 60-90
pound body slowly at one capsule/day for the first 3-5 days. If the body
adjusts fine to this new superfood (see FAQ document included in your
package for any potential digestive or excessive detoxing symptoms),
then increase by one additional capsule/day every 3-5 days thereafter.
Suggest working up to 3-4 capsules/day for general nutritional
maintenance or 5-8 capsules/day for even more advanced benefits. Or use
the weight guidelines on the first page of the welcome letter included
in your package. Evaluate this beginning amount after 60-90 days."
When a customer contacts us with a 90 pound
body (human or
animal) asking why they are not seeing more benefits after taking/giving
two capsules/day for a month, we ask them why they stopped at two
capsules/day. It seems they were afraid to give more from the fear of
inducing excessive detoxing symptoms or "side effects." We tell them if
they or their pet has not had any excessive detoxing symptoms or
unintended consequences after the first month of a gradual introduction,
their body has adapted and most likely will not have any. We suggest
gradually increasing up to the suggested amount per body weight to
experience more benefits.
A more serious ramification is when a pet
is dying from a
critical
illness (such as
IMHA, AIHA
or cancer) and they
still are giving only two capsules/day for a 90 pound body after 2-4
weeks. In this instance time is of the essence, so we tell them since
whole food products have no side effects and zero toxicity,
we suggest accelerating the introduction to possibly save a life. Even
if minor excessive detoxing symptoms do occur (loose, stools, diarrhea,
excessive thirst, etc.), this is far better than the consequences of
death. By doing so, at least one knows they did everything possible.

rules for drugs and isolated supplements when deciding how much to take
