Optimum Choices is located on Plateau Parkway in Golden, Colorado on the
south slope of North Table Mountain. Being on the side of a mountain, we are
high enough to avoid any floods. Golden is bisected by Clear Creek and
downtown could encounter flood damage although nothing is imminent. The
photo below is of Clear Creek (from a couple of years ago) as it goes under the main street/bridge in
downtown Golden. The metal fish sculpture in the center should be on dry
pavement of the brick amphitheater which is all underwater from a previous
Spring runoff. There is a pedestrian path on both sides of the creek that
temporarily floods every Spring.

As owner of Optimum Choices, I am sorry for this poor customer service. I
apologize to everyone that has experienced any of the above. Please forgive me—it was not because we do not value our good returning clients. Due to an
accidental fall in June, 2012, in which I sustained a concussion, the resultant
Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI) temporarily left me with brain
impairment. I have been unable to function as efficiently as before. My recovery has
required treatment from more than 4 doctors (M.D., O.D., D.C., Ph.D.) and 4
therapists (occupational, cognitive, vision and bodywork therapy). Ironically,
the very last e-newsletter I wrote in October 2012
(It Takes 9 Months/Weeks) discussed
how long it takes certain parts of the body to heal. Based on my personal
experience with the MTBI, I added another body part, the Brain. It can take the
brain 6 months to 5 years to heal from even a mild fall/accident and subsequent
concussion.
Even though I cannot confidently say I
am 50% recovered, the good news is that I am making slow progress. All my
doctors and therapists say that any progress is good news. The other good news is
that I hired an Administrative Assistant to help me run Optimum Choices during
this very difficult time. Michelle is now helping me process the high volume of
orders from the incredible demand for our “wholistic” products. She is starting
to focus on learning how our advanced nutritional products work so she can also help me
answer all the support questions of why our whole food products work so well

This spring we
experienced an abundance of ALPHA-G orders. ALPHA-G is another one of
our wonderful whole food products providing amazing results. ALPHA-G is
generically known as a PSP (polysaccharide peptide or polysaccharidepeptide) product. We feel our cat, Iris,
may be alive today
2.5 years past her terminal diagnosis (less than one month to live) of
advanced intestinal lymphoma
cancer (or severe IBD) because of ALPHA-G
and other holistic means. Customers
reported reading in other practitioners' newsletters that, "...alpha-g
kills cancer cells..." Although I have not seen this direct
reference, I want to set the record straight by saying ours
is a formal commercial product named ALPHA-G, while the "alpha-g" mentioned in
these other newsletters may be generically referring to molecular particles based on
Japanese cancer research. Let me explain the difference.
Most PSP products are
broken down into smaller particles (molecules) such as beta-glycans
extracted or
concentrated from reishi mushrooms
and yeast or alpha-glycans from rice grains from
Thailand. Japanese research shows that the
“…polysaccharide
beta-1,3-D-glucan in reishi boosts the immune system by raising the
amount of macrophages T-cells…”

Instead of containing
these larger beta-glycan particles (molecules) from mushrooms or yeast, our ALPHA-G is hydrolyzed into smaller
alpha-glycan particles (thus the product name ALPHA-G) from a combination of specifically selected strains of rice harvested from
organic U.S. sources.
We feel these smaller alpha-glycan particles may be more readily
absorbed into the cell walls for better results.
In addition to hydrolyzation (a water and
pressure process), ALPHA-G undergoes additional proprietary processes
that may help to improve assimilation. No other PSP product
undergoes these additional proprietary processes.
The doctor that formulated ALPHA-G has seen better clinical results
with this new formulation which may be due to these additional proprietary processes. Our
observations and the
results of our clients seem to demonstrate that these smaller alpha-glycan
particles and additional proprietary processes may produce superior
results than many other PSP products. Here are some personal
examples why we believe this to be true.
When Margaret was taking
a 3-antibiotic protocol to get rid of a nasty parasite she needed
something to
protect her liver and soothe her digestive tract to be able
to tolerate these strong drugs. Our chiropractor initially determined she needed
up to 9 scoops/day of another PSP product we were selling at that time
to do this. When we were introduced to ALPHA-G later she found it so potent
that she needed less than one teaspoon/day from the new ALPHA-G to
produce the same benefits.
When our 9 year old cat, Iris, came down with advanced intestinal lymphoma
cancer (or severe IBD) in
December, 2010, we were given the following options by our
holistic vet:
Steroids to reduce
the symptoms.
Chemotherapy to buy
us more time.
Hospice care.
Euthanasia.
We chose none of them and
slowly eliminated other isolated supplement options, purported to be
good for cancer, that all proved to be too strong for Iris to tolerate.
The two products that proved to be
tolerable (for a sensitive cat) and
effective to help Iris balance her body were our bio-algae concentrates and
ALPHA-G. Iris is still alive 2.5 years later. She recently stopped
eating again and was diagnosed with pancreatitis, enlarged spleen, bleeding in
the stomach and (suspicious) abnormal cells in her stomach fluids. But none of the
tests confirmed cancerous cells. I feel this may be due (not scientific
proof) to the nutritive
properties of our bio-algae concentrates and ALPHA-G products as shown
by the above research. These whole superfood products can possibly balance the
body at the cellular DNA level so that reproduction of cancer cells is
just not happening. We certainly are not claiming our ALPHA-G product is
a cancer cure. We will let the reader investigate the above research
